Lost Pets at the Emergency Boarding Facility

Animal Care & Control of NYC (AC&C) is committed to reuniting lost and found pets with their families, and has partnered with the ASPCA to help Hurricane Sandy-displaced pets get back home. Some animals that came to AC&C shelters as strays in the wake of the storm have been transferred to a temporary boarding facility run by the ASPCA.

If you have lost your pet, please visit our Care Centers AND the new ASPCA boarding facility, located at 1508 Herkimer Street, Brooklyn, NY, 11233. Map

This temporary facility is open seven days a week, from 9:00 A.M. to 6:00 P.M., through Dec. 17. Please call (347) 573-1561 before visiting.
