A message from Actor Glenn Close

Homeless pets are a huge problem. Programs that deal with caring for these animals and determining their future are chronically under-funded and AC&C is no exception. And yet I honestly feel that each animal that ends up at AC&C are given exemplary care: Their mental and physical wellbeing are taken seriously and enormous effort is put into improving their quality of life as soon as they enter the premises. These animals all deserve love, respect and a happy home. The staff and volunteers at AC&C are doing their best to make that happen and I salute their passion and compassion.

Over the past few years, AC&C has come a long way in lowering the numbers of animals that have to be euthanized. AC&C’s adoption events and the New Hope program have helped to make this possible, but there is still a long way to go. Spaying and neutering pets is another key way to help lower the euthanasia numbers.
