BIX FIX addresses the pet over-population crisis at its source by sponsoring low- and no-cost spay and neutering services for pets in low-income households.
Through regular, community-based spay and neutering clinics offered in the Bronx and Brooklyn shelters, AC&C reaches out with information and services that forestall the almost inevitable day when un-neutered family pets produce a litter of unmanageable offspring. In addition, BIG FIX subsidizes the cost of adoption to low-income families by defraying the fee charged for the spaying or neutering of every pet adopted through AC&C.
