Make a Planned Gift
Gifts received through wills and trusts are the financial foundation that makes possible the many programs AC&C offers to both people and animals. Below are three common ways of making a bequest, along with suggested language.

Memorial and Tribute Gifts
Make a donation in honor or memory or a beloved person or pet. When we receive your gift, AC&C will send an elegant card to the person you designate. You will also receive acknowledgment of your tax-deductible gift. Minimum donation: $25.00, Please email donate@nycacc.org with detailed information of your gift design.

Event Sponsorship
You or your company can help sponsor one of our special events and receive special event promotions and recognition in return. Check out our Events page for more information or send an email to donate@nycacc.org.

Corporate Matching Gift and Sponsorship Programs

Restricted Donation Options
The Animal Care Fund
Each year, over 43,000 unwanted cats and dogs are brought to Animal Care and Control of New York’s (AC&C) shelters. Through The Animal Care Fund, AC&C raises support for the direct care of lost, mistreated, or neglected animals brought to its shelters, for service upgrades to keep rescued animals happy in their new surroundings, and to end the euthanasia of adoptable cats and dogs.

The S.T.A.R. Fund
Animal Care & Control (AC&C) of New York City established The Special Treatment and Recovery (S.T.A.R.) to raise support for the treatment of hundreds of injured or ill cats and dogs each year. The Fund pays for medical care provided by veterinarians in AC&C’s shelters and for emergency treatment and/or hospitalization in outside institutions. The STAR Fund also covers medical care for animals suffering from cruelty or neglect, and for those in AC&C’s Foster Care Program.

Public Education Fund
The Public Education Fund raises support for new initiatives that promote the humane treatment of cats and dogs, and prevent their cruel abuse. Donations to The Public Education Fund will expand AC&C’s capacity to educate New Yorkers about its animal care programs and the benefits of the animal-human bond -- including positive choices that can benefit New Yorkers and their pets.
