How to Become an AC&C Volunteer?

If you are 18 or over and interested in volunteering at our BROOKLYN OR MANHATTAN shelters you must schedule a training / orientation session. Contact us

If you are 18 or over and interested in volunteering at our STATEN ISLAND shelter you can attend the monthly orientation session held on the last Wednesday of every month at 6:00 pm.

If you are between the ages of 14 – 17 you can become an AC&C Youth Volunteer. This is a three hour weekly commitment. This program is full for the 2008-2009 school year.

If you are 13 and under you can become an AC&C Youth Educator! Youth Educators are provided with a 2 hour visit at one of our shelters where they interact with the animals. Following this interaction youths are briefly taught a classroom presentation on the homeless animal crisis in NYC which they are then asked to present to their classmates. This program is a wonderful way for youths to advocate through education for NYC’s homeless animals.
