I just wanted to say what a pleasure it is to be a part of the Animal Care and Control of New York City’s website. For those of you who do not know who I am, for the past 30 years I have been a Hollywood animal trainer training animals for movies and commercials. I actually started off training dolphins and killer whales at Sea World in the early 80’s. One of my biggest credits was the trainer of “Dreyfuss”, on the TV series EMPTY NEST from 1988-1992. Recently I worked with Russell Crowe in Southern France training the Jack Russell in the movie “A GOOD YEAR”.

For the past 10 years I have been hosting a TV series on ANIMAL PLANET called “GOOD DOG U”. I am on the road quite often either training animals or doing personal appearances, and I repeatedly tell people how impressed I always am with the New York City pet owner when I am working in New York City. I explain that having a pet in Manhattan is much different because most people live in apartments, and they can’t just open the back door and let their dog out in the backyard. I explain that they need to put in the extra time for walks and so on, and truly make the animal a priority. Most importantly, they (you) show the meaning of what it is to be a great pet owner.
